Life often presents us with situations that make us question our actions, thoughts and sometimes even our beliefs. We over analyze things and try to make sense of what’s in front of us. As humans, we are conditioned to focus on what we observe and give all of our attention to it. We become stuck in a repetitive cycle that leaves us feeling hopeless.
As a Law of Attraction coach, I can’t speak enough on how important it is to understand that whatever you send out you get back. The Law of Attraction states “That which is like unto itself is drawn.” Or simply put, “Like attracts like.” This means that what you are focused on, you draw to you. Here’s how it works. When you are focused on what you want, you are attracting to you what you want. When you are focused on what you do not want, you are attracting to you what you do not want.
Whatever you broadcast out into the universe is joined or attracted to energies that are of an equal frequency, resonance, or vibration. The Law of Attraction is like a boomerang. Whatever we give out with our energetic vibrations (thoughts and feelings) we will receive back to us.
The Law is that simple. However, our thoughts are usually unfocused and running in many directions at once. For example, you may say, “I want a new car” but in the next sentence, sabotage yourself by saying “But I can’t afford it.” In most cases you are feeling lack; feeling that you want something you really can’t have.
Let’s take the example of money. You say you want more money, but when you think of wanting more money, how do you feel about it? Happy? Excited? Frustrated? Angry? Maybe even Jealous of those who do have money? When you find yourself observing your current reality and notice what you are lacking, you will find more and more evidence to support your observations. What you put your attention and focus on will expand whether it’s good or bad.
So what do you do when you find yourself stuck in a situation that you feel you can’t move past? By understanding that whatever you are focused on you attract more of. In other words, be consciously selective about where you choose to focus your attention. Rather than going into resistance about something you don’t want or don’t agree with, just change your thoughts around to what you DO want. Get clear on what you want.
When you experience contrast of any kind ask yourself these three questions:
Practice FEELING by putting the focus back on what you DO want and on the direction you DO want to go in will literally shift you in the moment. By changing your perspective you bring what you DO want into your life faster. Become more aware of how you are feeling in any given moment. Let your emotions guide you to better feeling thoughts.
So next time you feel stuck in a situation or focused on what you don’t have, ask yourself the above three questions instead of focusing on the lack of what you don’t want or have. Watch what happens and always remember you have a choice in every moment to choose better FEELING thoughts.
